After a rather tough play, Babia's Sabino Neiva got a free kick in the 4th minute. A hard shot 7 in the game by Raphael Cordeiro from a close distance when the talented Júlio de Brito managed to make a qualified save. Babia's players were relieved. Ulysses Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Raphael Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Júlio de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Major EC. 15 minutes into the game, Sabino Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Babia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Major EC the free kick. Raphael Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raphael Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Júlio de Brito made a huge save. Raphael Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th match minute, Babia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Campidelis in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio de Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Pedro Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Fonseca having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, José Pedro Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Ulysses Fonseca. Major EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Raphael Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Júlio de Brito made a huge save. Major EC's Ulysses Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Fontes in the 43rd minute of play. Patrick da Costa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ulysses Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Pedro Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Raphael Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Toledo to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves José Pedro Fontes could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Ulysses Fonseca however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick da Costa during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Major EC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick da Costa. Ulysses Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Toledo in the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Babia's Armando Toledo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulysses Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armando Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabino Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ulysses Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Babia's Júlio de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Cordeiro in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Enrique Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raphael Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Campidelis in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Major EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armando Toledo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If José Pedro Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
