Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Custódio Luz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luiz Guilherme Vale hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Marcos Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Custódio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Arlindo Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Pires in the 25th minute of play forced Carapicuiba's goalkeeper Narciso Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes, Célio Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carapicuiba and the Amaropolis SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carapicuiba's Célio Fantini got a free kick in the 25th minute. Valdo Mendonça was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eliseu Matos's late challenge caught a Carapicuiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Matos helped the player get up and apologised. Custódio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célio Fantini got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 36th minute, Célio Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisinho Nóbrega, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Carapicuiba's zone, Marcos Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Vidal came out of the goal and Marcos Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amaropolis SS's Paulo Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenílson Corrêa in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Pires was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Luisinho Nóbrega sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narciso Vidal skillfully saved the ball. In the 55th minute Marcos Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdo Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Carapicuiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Custódio Luz to maneuver through the defense. After 64 played minutes Carapicuiba got a freekick which was hit by Roger Terra. Narciso Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Marcos Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amaropolis SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Vidal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Narciso Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amaropolis SS's Marcos Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lenílson Corrêas short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Paulo Zonta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 84 minutes into the match, Carapicuiba's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Mendonça came free, but Narciso Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Amaropolis SS's Valdo Mendonça in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carapicuiba's goalie prevented a goal. Arlindo Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carapicuiba players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Amaropolis SS.
