When Gino Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quevedos's protests and gave Gino Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Gino Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ediberto da Fonseca during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Quevedos's Ulysses Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Britto in the 8th minute of play. Ulysses Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Délio Moura came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Quevedos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Délio Moura couldn't finish the play. Quevedos's Gino Cunha shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jânio Lago but with some difficulty. Rafinha Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Carrocal FC booed when Quevedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Jean Meira put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ulysses Brasil. Emanuel Britto's late challenge caught a Quevedos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Britto helped the player get up and apologised. With his leg Jânio Lago managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Quevedos's Délio Moura fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Britto in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulysses Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes Carrocal FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Britto. Quevedos's Fernando do Valle got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Fernando do Valle off the ground. The supporters of Carrocal FC booed when Quevedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Délio Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jânio Lago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. Délio Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovanni Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Carrocal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Moura came free, but Jânio Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ulysses Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carrocal FC's Emanuel Britto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 72nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 75th minute, Jean Meira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulysses Brasil, passed just outside the right post. Emanuel Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Jean Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrocal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Quevedos's Délio Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jânio Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Délio Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jânio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Carrocal FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carrocal FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
