When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Emanuel Britto put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Artur Mattos. 26 minutes into the match, Xaxim's goalkeeper Artur Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Britto. 27 minutes into the game, Válter Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xaxim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carrocal FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Xaxim's Válter Moura got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jânio Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Fonseca in the 38th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Cruz in the 52nd minute of the match. During the 54th minute of the match Válter Moura completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Válter Moura a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 55 played minutes Xaxim got a freekick which was hit by Válter Moura. Rafinha Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafinha Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Carrocal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Jean Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emanuel Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Jânio Lago managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Xaxim's Clóvis Monteiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clóvis Monteiro in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jânio Lago, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 71 minutes into the game, Fabrício Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
