Dorival Lara started the match with the kick off. Simão Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Moreno having to interfere. Simão Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Flavinho Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Natercia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rubens Fantini hit a great ball. Flavinho Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Valle in the 15th minute of play. Flavinho Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Natercia booed when Gabiarra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão da Silveira got free with Flavinho Moreno in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Valle was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Eduardo Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gláuber Ferreira made a huge save. Natercia's Gláuber Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Lara in the 54th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Gabiarra EC's Gláuber Ferreira threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dorival Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Betão da Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavinho Moreno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betão da Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the game, Artur Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gabiarra EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Natercia the free kick. After 64 played minutes Gabiarra EC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Fontes. 67 minutes into the match, Simão Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavinho Moreno. Gabiarra EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Betão da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Moreno having to interfere. Simão Valle's late challenge caught a Gabiarra EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Valle helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Natercia getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Simão Valle hit a great ball. Dedé Bertassi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Rubens Fantini, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dorival Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gláuber Ferreira having to make a save. After 84 played minutes Gabiarra EC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Simão. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gabiarra EC's goalkeeper Flavinho Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gabiarra EC's Dorival Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Simão Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavinho Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Simão Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
