After 3 played minutes Bofete EC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Vale. Percival Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean Cearense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Percival Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Bofete EC's Jean Cearense got control of the ball when Percival Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bofete EC's Jean Cearense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Bofete EC from getting a goal against them. Ossuna's Nildo Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Vander in the 11th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Bofete EC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Netto. In the 18th minute, Percival Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denílson Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Cearense having to interfere. When Nestor Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossuna's protests and gave Nestor Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Ossuna got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Teixeira. In the 23rd minute of the match Afonso Guedes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nildo Pena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Bofete EC booed when Ossuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donatello Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nildo Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Bofete EC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Vale. Ossuna's Nildo Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Vander in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorginho Vander in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo Pena saved Ossuna from getting behind. Ossuna's Nildo Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Vale in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Vander in the 46th minute of play forced Ossuna's goalkeeper Nildo Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dinei Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossuna's protests and gave Dinei Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Dinei Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

If Jorginho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Vander in the 61st minute of play forced Ossuna's goalkeeper Nildo Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donatello Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Nildo Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Jorginho Vander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nildo Pena. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 69th match minute, Ossuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Vale to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes Ossuna got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Vale. Valério Mello hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Jorginho Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bofete EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorginho Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Ricardinho Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ossuna's Zé Carlos Barros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bofete EC. After a rather tough play, Bofete EC's Cristian Vale got a free kick in the 91st minute. Percival Castro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jean Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ossuna.
