Rui Terra helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Moravania AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Curaca FC:s goal. Alfredo Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Alfredo Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Curaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Toledo. A hard shot 20 in the game by Gerson Abraão from a close distance when the talented Fausto Eger managed to make a qualified save. Curaca FC's players were relieved. Fausto Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Cordeiro in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Pena in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otávio Viana saved Moravania AD from getting behind. Gerson Abraão struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Fausto Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moravania AD. The supporters of Moravania AD booed when Curaca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Vivaldo Paraíba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Curaca FC's Fausto Eger didn't even have to move. Alfredo Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Viana having to interfere. Fausto Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Gustavo Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kléberson Toledo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Curaca FC's Kléberson Toledo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Luiz Gustavo Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Eger having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Curaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Percival Zanette. In the 62nd minute, Vivaldo Paraíba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Curaca FC's Fausto Eger didn't even have to move. Dênis Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Cordeiro in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Alfredo Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerson Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Eger having to interfere. Curaca FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
