Traicao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Eduardo Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

A collision led to Malaquias getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Valdo Faria hit a great ball. Doriva Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Malaquias's Cacá Schmidt got a free kick in the 60th minute.
