Manoel Rossi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eurico Leal. Mavedeve FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 10th minute, Duda Palmeira made a precise shot to the right of Eurico Leal. Mavedeve FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Carneiro in the 15th minute of play forced Murungaba SS's goalkeeper Rodolfo Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mavedeve FC's Leopoldo Zonta got a free kick in the 16th minute. Rodolfo Aguiar hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The long shot by Gil Medeiros in the 23rd minute really tested Rodolfo Rocha's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 31st match minute, Murungaba SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Mavedeve FC's Leopoldo Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Rubens Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Duda Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murungaba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duda Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Leal having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Gil Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mavedeve FC and the Murungaba SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mavedeve FC's Gil Medeiros got a free kick in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duda Palmeira made a kick off. Alfredão Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eurico Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Duda Palmeira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alfredão Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Leal having to interfere. Eurico Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Luiz Guilherme Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rodolfo Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Dedé Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duda Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Murungaba SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
