Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Guilherme Carneiro started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Catonho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gil Medeiros was slow to take the kick. During this time Mavedeve FC's players had a chance to rest. Mavedeve FC's Gil Medeiros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arlindo Silva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eurico Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Arlindo Silva successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Leopoldo Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mavedeve FC's goalkeeper Eurico Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gabriel Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Leal having to interfere. Róbson Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eurico Leal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbson Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute, Róbson Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eurico Leal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eurico Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Silveira in the 35th minute of the match. Catonho's Arlindo Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Catonho from getting a goal against them. Bebeto Abreu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Arlindo Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Róbson Silveira was the one to do the kick off. Rodriguinho Donato hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Zonta notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Catonho's Arlindo Silva. Arlindo Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Abreu during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Catonho getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bebeto Abreu hit a great ball. Leopoldo Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Angelo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Arlindo Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mavedeve FC's Rubens Queiroz got a free kick in the 79th minute. Eurico Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbson Silveira's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Leopoldo Zonta got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Arlindo Silva handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Róbson Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 94 minutes into the match, Gabriel Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Leal. Mavedeve FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The Catonho players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mavedeve FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
