Kauan Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Queirós in the 10th minute of play forced Sabuji's goalkeeper Murillo Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Tasso having to interfere. A collision led to Sabuji getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ezequiel de Toledo hit a great ball. The supporters of Cafufa booed when Sabuji was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexsandro Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murillo Tasso. Sabuji's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Murillo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Kauan Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Róbson Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Cafufa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Vale in the 30th minute of the match. Dalmo Prata came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sabuji's Wiliam Marinho. But to his dismay, Wiliam Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 37 minutes, Wiliam Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabuji's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabuji's Murillo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Queirós in the 40th minute of play. Kauan Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Murillo Tasso made a huge save. Kauan Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Tasso having to interfere. The Cafufa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sabuji were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renato Queirós to make the kick off. Fábio Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alexsandro Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Sabuji's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Queirós came free, but Murillo Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kauan Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Tasso having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Doriva de Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sabuji and the Cafufa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Doriva de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Renato Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Renato Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafufa's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murillo Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murillo Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauan Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Murillo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Wiliam Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabuji's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiliam Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbson Vale got free with Dalmo Prata in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Murillo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murillo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Cordeiro in the 82nd minute of play. Cafufa's Dalmo Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Cafufa from getting a goal against them. Róbson Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dalmo Prata having to make a save. If Kauan Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabuji's Murillo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Queirós in the 94th minute of play.
