Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wiliam Marinho took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, Frois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Passos in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murillo Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Passos in the 9th minute of play forced Sabuji's goalkeeper Murillo Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabuji's Róbson Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Sabuji got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Messias. In the 17thth minute of the game Guga Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sabuji's Murillo Tasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Sabuji's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Esteves came free, but Murillo Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbson Vale struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Laércio da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabuji. Carlos Eduardo Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Frois booed when Sabuji was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murillo Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Tarcisio Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sabuji's protests and gave Tarcisio Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sabuji getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tarcisio Vieira hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Róbson Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabuji's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laércio da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laércio da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Róbson Vale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Laércio da Fonseca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Róbson Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Laércio da Fonseca made a huge save. Laércio da Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbson Vale in the 42nd minute. Benjamim Prestes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murillo Tasso. Sabuji's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Laércio da Fonseca acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vágner Rosa.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guga Esteves made a kick off. Sabuji's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guga Esteves 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Murillo Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Jorginho Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Tasso having to interfere. A collision led to Sabuji getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Doriva de Castro hit a great ball. When Benjamim Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frois's protests and gave Benjamim Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Benjamim Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Sabuji's Róbson Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laércio da Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Eduardo Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sabuji's Doriva de Castro got a free kick in the 80th minute. Guga Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Tasso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Vale in the 85th minute of play forced Frois's goalkeeper Laércio da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Róbson Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorginho Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frois's Guga Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frois played a much better game than Sabuji and deserved their victory. The Sabuji players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
