Humberto Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Silas Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beto Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Correia in the 5th minute of play. Esquia's Beto Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Esquia from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Valadares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silas Paraense was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráuzio Vinhas during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 14 minutes into the game, one of Esquia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, Mostardos's Luiz Guilherme Monteiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Beto Toledo. If Wágner Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Richard Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Mostardos's Luiz Guilherme Monteiro tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Murilo Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silas Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anselmo Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Valadares was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Valadares in the 53rd minute of play forced Mostardos's goalkeeper Silas Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Humberto Fernandez in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Fernando Correia struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Beto Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mostardos. After a rather tough play, Mostardos's Fernando Correia got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Fernando Correia came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mostardos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Correia couldn't finish the play. Beto Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Porto in the 92nd minute of the match. Richard Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
