Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pedro Alves got the match started through his kick off. Márcio Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cafu Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Róbson Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Matinha SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbson Mesquita couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute of the match, Róbson Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cafu Galvão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pedro Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Bittencourt having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Márcio Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cafu Galvão. Candido's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márcio Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 25th minute Basílio Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Pedro Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Basílio Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Róbson Mesquita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Márcio Cardoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matinha SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Basílio Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clóvis Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basílio Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, Pedro Alves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clóvis Bittencourt, 2-2. Cafu Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Mesquita in the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Márcio Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matinha SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Márcio Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Márcio Cardoso in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 76 minutes into the match, Candido's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Brito came free, but Cafu Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Matinha SS's Róbson Mesquita in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candido's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute of the match Matinha SS got a corner. Candido's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kauã Diniz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kauã Diniz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cafu Galvão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Márcio Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pedro Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido's Cafu Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Cardoso in the 89th minute of play. Matinha SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Pedro Alves scored to the left of an out of position Clóvis Bittencourt, making the score, 2-3. Although Matinha SS had been in control for most of the match, Candido still came away with the win.
