Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Remo Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Alberto Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Clóvis Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Matinha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Borges to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Matinha SS's Clóvis Bittencourt got control of the ball when Adriano Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adriano Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Clóvis Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Bittencourt having to interfere. Alberto Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Cardoso in the 25th minute of play forced Assituas FC's goalkeeper Remo Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Márcio Cardoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matinha SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Alberto Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adriano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Moreira got free with Clóvis Bittencourt in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Márcio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Coutinho having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Matinha SS's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Antunes came free, but Clóvis Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Assituas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matinha SS were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Róbson Mesquita made a kick off. Remo Coutinho was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Róbson Mesquita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Róbson Mesquita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Remo Coutinho came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Matinha SS's Márcio Cardoso. But to his dismay, Márcio Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Adriano Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Luís Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Clóvis Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Róbson Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Márcio Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Remo Coutinho. Assituas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. When Alberto Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Assituas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Antunes couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Assituas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Márcio Cardoso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Alberto Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adriano Moreira took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clóvis Bittencourt. Clóvis Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Assituas FC's Remo Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Mesquita in the 96th minute of play. The Matinha SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matinha SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
