Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hugo Leão made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Ilicinia booed when Macacu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sandrinho Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jardel Faustino in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sandrinho Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Falcão Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Sandrinho Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Vidal hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Sandrinho Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josué Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Baiano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Macacu EC's zone, Hugo Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Baiano came out of the goal and Hugo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Kiko Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Leão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Josué Baiano 36 minutes into the match. Ilicinia's Falcão Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Faustino in the 40th minute of play. Falcão Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sandrinho Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Sandrinho Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Falcão Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Hugo Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute, Hugo Leão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilicinia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilicinia's goalkeeper Falcão Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jardel Faustino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Santos having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jardel Faustino in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Faustino in the 76th minute of play forced Ilicinia's goalkeeper Falcão Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Jardel Faustino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macacu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Faustino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Faustino in the 85th minute of play forced Ilicinia's goalkeeper Falcão Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Macacu EC got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Freire. In the 90th minute, Natanael Moraes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Macacu EC's Josué Baiano didn't even have to move. Jean Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Baiano having to interfere. In the 95th minute, one of Macacu EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Macacu EC. Ilicinia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Macacu EC for a fine match.
