In the 15th minute Belmiro Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Belmiro Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Copacabana's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Vander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eurico Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Vander having to interfere. Zacarias Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Simão in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Tião Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Simão to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Tião Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Copacabana getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eurico Peixoto hit a great ball. Eurico Peixoto scored 1-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Vander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Joaquim Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Belmiro Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Vander having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Lago in the 77th minute of play forced Copacabana's goalkeeper Joaquim Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Simão in the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pori's Cesinha Madureira got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute Eurico Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Cosme made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Chicão Moreno sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pori players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Copacabana.
