The crowd rose to their feet as Cascalho AD's Nilson Rezende slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of César Teixeira. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. Ricardo Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Barral having to interfere. César Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Rezende in the 35th minute of play. Sobralia's César Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Sobralia from getting a goal against them. César Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Rezende in the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Gil Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Tróia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 46th playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Paes to make the kick off. Nilson Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erivaldo Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Gino Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Cascalho AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sobralia the free kick. Alexsandro Tróia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ricardo Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Renato Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Paes in the 91st minute of play. César Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cascalho AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
