The referee gave Tope a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diego Mota, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Buenopolis's Juvenal Paiva. 0-1. Ademar de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Rosado having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, José Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tope's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buenopolis the free kick. José Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ademar de Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Didi Rosado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hélder Saraiva's late challenge caught a Buenopolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 57 minutes, Acácio Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buenopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Buenopolis booed when Tope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didi Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Branco in the 59th minute of the match. Acácio Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Didi Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Váldson Fernandez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juvenal Paiva. Váldson Fernandez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The supporters of Tope booed when Buenopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademar de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Rosado having to interfere. After 81 minutes of play Tope's Hélder Saraiva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Tope getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Hélder Saraiva hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Tope got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Fernandez. 84 minutes into the game, Ademar de Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the final whistle went the supporters of Tope were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Buenopolis side.
