An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Almeida in the 3rd minute of play forced Pranchado EC's goalkeeper Fernandinho Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Júlio Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Toscano. Francisco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ernesto Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pranchado EC's Doni Chaves shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 19th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernesto Toscano but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Eurico Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pranchado EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Almeida in the 29th minute of play forced Pranchado EC's goalkeeper Fernandinho Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Reis in the 32nd minute of play forced Francisco FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Francisco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Reis came free, but Ernesto Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Ernesto Toscano made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Pranchado EC's Jorge Neves got a free kick in the 54th minute. A hard shot 58 in the game by Luís Fernando Leite from a close distance when the talented Fernandinho Cearense managed to make a qualified save. Pranchado EC's players were relieved. Júlio Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Francisco FC's Benedito Britto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernandinho Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Reis in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Toscano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Francisco FC's Hélio Jacinto got a free kick in the 70th minute. Eurico Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Toscano having to make a save. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Francisco FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Toscano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76thth minute of the game Júlio Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Francisco FC's Ernesto Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eurico Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eurico Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Toscano having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Pranchado EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Fernando Leite fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fernandinho Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, Francisco FC's Zé Augusto Catarinense got a free kick in the 89th minute. Jeferson Arósio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Benedito Britto's late challenge caught a Pranchado EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedito Britto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Francisco FC's Benedito Britto got a free kick in the 95th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
