With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Reis in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juvenal Paiva saved Buenopolis from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Ademar de Azevedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pranchado EC's Fernandinho Cearense. Fernandinho Cearense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Juvenal Paiva managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Pranchado EC's Eurico Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Juvenal Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Luiz Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buenopolis's protests and gave Luiz Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pranchado EC booed when Buenopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eurico Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Juvenal Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Eurico Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pranchado EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eurico Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Paiva having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Reis made a kick off. If Júlio Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pranchado EC's Eurico Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Pranchado EC's Júlio Reis in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luiz Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Clemente Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acácio Branco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernandinho Cearense came out and tried to block the shot, but Acácio Branco slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 84th minute. Ademar de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Cearense having to interfere. Fernandinho Cearense was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Acácio Branco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Acácio Branco really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Eurico Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The Pranchado EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Buenopolis's performance. The match ended with a win for Buenopolis.
