Dé Brito succeeded in the game's 4th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Gref EC's goalkeeper Guga Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané das Neves. Gref EC's Guga Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Gref EC from getting a goal against them. If Dé Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anacetaba FC's Ezequiel Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Brito in the 27th minute of play. Eliézer Abraão charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliézer Abraão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliézer Abraão hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Gref EC's Matías Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezequiel Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Brito in the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mané das Neves got free with Guga Duarte in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guga Duarte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Túlio Furtado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 43 minute of play. The supporters of Gref EC booed when Anacetaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ezequiel Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dé Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Matías Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ezequiel Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dé Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mané das Neves during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dé Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ezequiel Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dé Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mané das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Matías Coelho lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Ezequiel Lopez. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Mané das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anacetaba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guga Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guga Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to Anacetaba FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Enio Damião hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Matías Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezequiel Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Brito in the 92nd minute of play. Dé Brito struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ezequiel Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gref EC. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
