Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Teodoro Travassos started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Matías Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gref EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matías Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Rossi during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aílton Rossi hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Luís Fábio Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Fábio Pontes took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Duarte. Guga Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Gref EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Pontes came free, but Guga Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Travassos scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The long shot by Washington Berger in the 41st minute really tested Moisés Simão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Nelson Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Travassos in the 46th minute of play forced Gref EC's goalkeeper Guga Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 49 minutes into the game, Teodoro Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Guga Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Travassos in the 55th minute of play forced Gref EC's goalkeeper Guga Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th match minute, Gref EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Carinhanha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Coelho in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Carinhanha SC's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Coelho came free, but Moisés Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Guga Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Matías Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moisés Simão was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After 79 minutes Carinhanha SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Giovani Mattos who took care of the corner kick. Gref EC's Giovani Mattos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Moisés Simão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Teodoro Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Duarte having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Travassos in the 90th minute of play forced Gref EC's goalkeeper Guga Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, Carinhanha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fábio Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Guga Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carinhanha SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
