Abolicao AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anacetaba FC the free kick. After 5 played minutes Abolicao AD got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Santos. Sílvio Luiz Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Mané das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sílvio Luiz Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hélder Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abolicao AD's protests and gave Hélder Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Abolicao AD's Hélder Meireles got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Furtado in the 17th minute of play forced Abolicao AD's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráuzio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Furtado in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Abolicao AD's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Diniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Anacetaba FC booed when Abolicao AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ezequiel Lopez made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Hélder Meireles sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Mané das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anacetaba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luiz Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mané das Neves came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sílvio Luiz Diniz could save by the left post. Túlio Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a defensive mix-up in Abolicao AD's zone, Mané das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Antunes in the 86th minute of play forced Anacetaba FC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mané das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacetaba FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
