Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Florestal's Noel Nogueira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Florestal's Frank Garcia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Waldir Tavares. Waldir Tavares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rubens Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Waldir Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 minutes, Murilo Koehler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carquejo and the Florestal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Murilo Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Waldir Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubens Botelho in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Fernando Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carquejo's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Florestal's Noel Nogueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Waldir Tavares. In the 23rd minute, Rubens Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 minutes of play Carquejo's Murilo Koehler was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Murilo Koehler hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Dedé Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Mineiro. Florestal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dedé Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Dedé Soares came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Carquejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedé Soares couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Florestal's goalkeeper Joaquim Mineiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Dedé Soares made a precise shot to the right of Joaquim Mineiro. Florestal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 46th minute, Fernando Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedé Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dedé Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Joaquim Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Nogueira's late challenge caught a Carquejo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noel Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. Noel Nogueira hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Rubens Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Noel Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florestal's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute Noel Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Nogueira in the 72nd minute of play. Waldir Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens Botelho went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 82ndth minute of the game Noel Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carquejo's Waldir Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dedé Soares took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Mineiro. Joaquim Mineiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noel Nogueira in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldir Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Dedé Soares took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Joaquim Mineiro to make any attempt to save it. Carquejo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
