If Guilherme Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Guilherme Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Travassos in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl Maranhense saved Barcelos SC from getting behind. Victor Travassos struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Raúl Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camboata. If Serafim de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Serafim de Souza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Braga, 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, Benedito Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcelos SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camboata the free kick. Vinícius Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Raúl Maranhense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Travassos went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 40 minutes, Flávio Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camboata and the Barcelos SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Camboata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Serafim de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Marcelo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Barcelos SC's Raúl Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Barcelos SC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Lago in the 57th minute of play forced Barcelos SC's goalkeeper Raúl Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, Camboata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Fontes to maneuver through the defense. After 65 minutes, Dinei Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camboata and the Barcelos SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dinei Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Raúl Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Lago in the 68th minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Camboata's Victor Travassos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raúl Maranhense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim de Souza's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Serafim de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafim de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafim de Souza hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Ernesto do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Raúl Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Travassos struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. A wasted opportunity for Camboata. 92 minutes into the game, Guilherme Lago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raúl Maranhense. Guilherme Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Camboata left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barcelos SC.
