Silas Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Duda Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Macaiba SC's Ademar Sena suffered a concussion after 8 minutes and had to leave the field. Felipe Bastos charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Bastos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felipe Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Eriberto Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macaiba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eriberto Tande might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Tande ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Gustavo Faria got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Duda Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Senna in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Macaiba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Silva came free, but Duda Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesinha Prata struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Maurício Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macaiba SC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Tande got free with Maurício Leão in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurício Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Tande went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Maurício Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Eriberto Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pentagna's Maurício Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilian Dias in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Macaiba SC's Duda Linhares got control of the ball when Silas Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eriberto Tande's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th match minute, Pentagna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Jean Prado hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes in the game Raí de Amorim after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Duda Linhares. A very good opportunity. Hélder Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Duda Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas Silva in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macaiba SC's goalkeeper Duda Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duda Linhares made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Chico Trigo sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th match minute, Macaiba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Leão having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Eriberto Tande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Hélder Xavier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macaiba SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pentagna the free kick. A collision led to Macaiba SC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Hélder Xavier hit a great ball. Macaiba SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
