Carlos Eduardo Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Almir Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jean Matorin's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Itapera's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Matorin came free, but Almir Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Roberto Gaspar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Marcus Bittencourt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jean Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catipe SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almir Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Almir Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Catipe SS's Marcus Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Catipe SS from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the game, Catipe SS's Jean Matorin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almir Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Breno Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Catipe SS's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Azevedo came free, but Marcus Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Catipe SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Breno Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Bittencourt. Catipe SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Breno Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Matorin in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcus Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breno Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Breno Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedito Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Dedé Ferraz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Breno Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Itapera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Breno Azevedo couldn't finish the play. When Breno Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapera's protests and gave Breno Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Itapera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Almir Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Almir Lima had in the 87thth minute some difficulties stopping Dedé Ferraz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Cafu Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapera's protests and gave Cafu Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jean Matorin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Almir Lima. That made the score 1-3 in the 98 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catipe SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
