Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nelsinho Prado started the match with the kick off. Nelsinho Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Lima having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Itapera's zone, Erasmo Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Lima came out of the goal and Erasmo Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelsinho Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almir Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Itapera's Leandro Rosado got a free kick in the 15th minute. Erasmo Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Almir Lima made a huge save. When Breno Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Itapera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Breno Azevedo couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Zé Roberto Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Nelsinho Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Gaspar in the 35th minute of the match. After 37 minutes Forromeco's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elias Vinhas who took care of the corner kick. Elias Vinhas made a great header on Itapera's corner, it was just that Forromeco's Váldson da Cunha managed to reach the ball for a save. When Nelsinho Prado came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Forromeco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Prado couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Itapera getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Anísio Gaúcho hit a great ball. If Zé Roberto Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breno Azevedo to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Carlos Eduardo Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Forromeco's Váldson da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Azevedo in the 53rd minute of play. Váldson da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Breno Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Azevedo during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Almir Lima came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Forromeco's Erasmo Mota. But to his dismay, Erasmo Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a little luck, Forromeco's Váldson da Cunha got control of the ball when Breno Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Váldson da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Erasmo Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Almir Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Itapera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Netto to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Nelsinho Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Almir Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itapera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
