Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zacarias Couto took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Barriga AD's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Barreto came free, but Duarte Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Vale in the 9th minute of play forced Barriga AD's goalkeeper Duarte Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Barriga AD booed when Carovi AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Zacarias Couto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Washington Coutinho, 1-0. Amauri Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Couto in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Washington Coutinho saved Carovi AD from getting behind. With a left leg Washington Coutinho saved Carovi AD from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Barriga AD's Amauri Tinoco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Washington Coutinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Duarte Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Duarte Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Barreto in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Barriga AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Cosme to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Zacarias Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barriga AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osmar Vale made a kick off. Tibúrcio Neiva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barriga AD's zone, Emerson Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Antunes came out of the goal and Emerson Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, Tibúrcio Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Duarte Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amauri Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Barriga AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Cosme to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Luís Eduardo Teles in the 86th minute really tested Duarte Antunes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 86th minute, Josué Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Barriga AD's Josué Baiano got a free kick in the 88th minute. Osmar Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Osmar Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barriga AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Carovi AD for a fine match.
