Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguayana's goalkeeper Gláuber Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6thth minute of the game Romeu Carioca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguayana's Gláuber Gaúcho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Antônio das Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguayana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Antônio das Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nildo Cabral. Antônio das Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Sandro Mello's late challenge caught a Uruguayana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Mello helped the player get up and apologised. Sandro Mello hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Nildo Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pitingao's Edgard Gerber got a free kick in the 24th minute. Gláuber Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Antônio das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th minute, Pitingao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dedé de Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Antônio das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Uruguayana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio das Neves couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Gláuber Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeu Carioca in the 55th minute. After 62 played minutes Pitingao got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo Silva. When Uruguayana's Dedé de Carvalho, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Uruguayana. Gláuber Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Romeu Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pitingao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeu Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeu Carioca got free with Gláuber Gaúcho in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pitingao's Luís Fabiano Vergílio in the 79th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gláuber Gaúcho was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Uruguayana through an amazing save. Nildo Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Antônio das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Nildo Cabral. Pitingao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Dedé de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romeu Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Gláuber Gaúcho made a huge save. Claudinei Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinei Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pitingao's Claudinei Hermes got a free kick in the 91st minute. Nildo Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antônio das Neves went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Sandro Mello got his second yellow card in the match during the 98th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 99th match minute, Pitingao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Mello to maneuver through the defense.
