Patrick Quintal started the match with the kick off. Panatis SS's Leonardo Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Panatis SS from getting a goal against them. Leonardo Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Quintal in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Marinho in the 10th minute of play forced Goiaba's goalkeeper Rubinho Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Flavinho Brasil fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panatis SS's protests and gave Flavinho Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Flavinho Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Patrick Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Júlio Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Melo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Júlio Brasil sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Glauco Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panatis SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubinho Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 played minutes Panatis SS got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Brasil. Ernani Neto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 37 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Patrick Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Melo having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Luisinho Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiaba's Rubinho Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glauco Esteves was the one to do the kick off. When Váldson Faustino fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panatis SS's protests and gave Váldson Faustino a yellow card for diving instead. Rubinho Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luisinho Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goiaba's Rubinho Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Marinho in the 61st minute of play. In the 70thth minute of the game Patrick Quintal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panatis SS's Leonardo Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Júlio Brasil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Goiaba's Rubinho Tavares got control of the ball when Luisinho Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Goiaba getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Daniel Santana hit a great ball. Luisinho Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rubinho Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisinho Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
