Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime Vander took the kick off in the first half of the match. Giovanni Damião hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Silas Tinoco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Gaúcho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Ipueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Tomé Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 28 played minutes Ipueira got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Zonta. 28 minutes into the match, Paraguaio FC's Vinícius Cardozo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Luís Eduardo Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguaio FC's zone, Noel Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Gaúcho came out of the goal and Noel Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Custódio Negri's late challenge caught a Paraguaio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Custódio Negri helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ipueira's Custódio Negri got a free kick in the 34th minute. Henrique Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Henrique Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ipueira's goalkeeper Bernardinho Cearense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Paiva got free with Tomé Gaúcho in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguaio FC's zone, Noel Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Gaúcho came out of the goal and Noel Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Eduardo Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Noel Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Paiva in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noel Paiva in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Gaúcho saved Paraguaio FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Noel Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Gaúcho was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Simão Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paraguaio FC's Vinícius Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Paraguaio FC booed when Ipueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Custódio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes Ipueira got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Negri. Henrique Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bernardinho Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Vinícius Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Catarinense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomé Gaúcho. Paraguaio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bernardinho Cearense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Vander showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 93 minute of play. The Ipueira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Paraguaio FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Paraguaio FC.
