In the 17thth minute of the game Mazinho Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cumbe AD's Ediberto Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Paulão de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tales Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Urupema SS fans jumped to their feet. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mazinho Lara was the one to do the kick off. Ediberto Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Seco in the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazinho Lara in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ediberto Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anísio Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ediberto Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Urupema SS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Raimundo Reis hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Fernandinho Secco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Urupema SS's Luiz Gustavo Lara didn't even have to move. Reynaldo Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cumbe AD's goalkeeper Ediberto Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mazinho Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Reynaldo Madureira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Gustavo Lara. That made the score 1-2 in the 88 minute of play. When João Pedro Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cumbe AD's protests and gave João Pedro Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cumbe AD getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. João Pedro Quirino hit a great ball. Mazinho Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mazinho Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cumbe AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
