The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mathias Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Matías Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabino Pirani having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Faustão Campidelis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gildo Paraíba to make any attempt to save it. Abelardo de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Irajai SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo de Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Igataua's Abelardo de Queiroz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Gil Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gildo Paraíba was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Gil Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gildo Paraíba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute Ronaldo Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Irajai SS's Gil Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gildo Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Matías Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Igataua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matías Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ronaldo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Matías Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irajai SS's Sabino Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Terra in the 70th minute of play. If Faustão Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Igataua's Davi Mendonça got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Faustão Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irajai SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustão Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gildo Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes in the game, Matías Terra fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sabino Pirani having to interfere. Faustão Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Paraíba having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Igataua players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Irajai SS.
