Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Descarreiro FC's Márcio de Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu Félix in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olívio Lima saved Descarreiro FC from getting behind. Geovanni Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Zeca Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubiraita's Zeca Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ubiraita from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Lago in the 12th minute of play forced Descarreiro FC's goalkeeper Olívio Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ubiraita booed when Descarreiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ubiraita's zone, Márcio de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Torres came out of the goal and Márcio de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovanni Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Zeca Torres made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauan Gonçalves during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cauan Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Romeu Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Olívio Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Descarreiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney de Lara to maneuver through the defense. Romeu Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Descarreiro FC's Márcio de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Romeu Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute of the match, Sidney de Lara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zeca Torres saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Lago to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Geovanni Cordeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Descarreiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Romeu Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeca Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio de Toledo in the 58th minute of play. Márcio de Toledo's late challenge caught a Ubiraita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Descarreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Márcio de Toledo. The audience was convinced that Lino Lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Lima was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Olívio Lima was a little too slow when Lino Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 71st minute, Romeu Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo José Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Amauri Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amauri Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olívio Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Márcio de Toledo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Torres saved Ubiraita from getting behind. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
