Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Nantes's Albertinho Nascimento got a free kick in the 7th minute. Adhemar Alvarenga, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 13th minute, Gugu Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedé Palmeira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ademir Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ernani Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nantes. In the 21st minute, Rodolfo Teles made a precise shot to the right of Ernani Negri. Jejui AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Ademir Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nantes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jejui AD the free kick. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nantes! The referee gave Jejui AD a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adhemar Alvarenga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nantes's Dedé Palmeira. 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Rodolfo Teles fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ernani Negri made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ademir Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. After 40 played minutes Jejui AD got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Carvalho. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Ademir Tinoco took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Ernani Negri to make any attempt to save it. Jejui AD's Ernani Negri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Jejui AD from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gugu Queirós to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Jejui AD's zone, Rodolfo Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Negri came out of the goal and Rodolfo Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Castro got free with Dedé Palmeira in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dedé Palmeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th match minute, Nantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Castro to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gugu Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jejui AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé Palmeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nantes's Dedé Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Queirós in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Jejui AD's Frank Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dedé Palmeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gugu Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Reynaldo Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Adhemar Alvarenga from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Dedé Palmeira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nantes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adhemar Alvarenga was slow to take the kick. During this time Jejui AD's players had a chance to rest. 82 minutes into the match, Nantes's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Queirós came free, but Dedé Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes in the game, Frank Castro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dedé Palmeira having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Gugu Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jejui AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jejui AD's Frank Castro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dedé Palmeira. That made the score 2-3 after 95 minutes of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jejui AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
