Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cristiano Linares started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Murillo Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, one of Itahum:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Itahum. Edmílson Souza shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Murillo Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Linares in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Linares in the 21st minute of play forced Aurilandia's goalkeeper Murillo Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurilandia's Murillo Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Linares in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Itahum's Dudu Nogueira got control of the ball when Kléber de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dudu Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléber de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Nogueira having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Cristiano Linares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Marcinho Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aurilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itahum the free kick. In the 39th minute, Marcinho Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Cristiano Linares made a precise shot to the right of Murillo Vides. Aurilandia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. David Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Itahum were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, David Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murillo Vides. Aurilandia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Itahum's Murilo de Sena got a free kick in the 56th minute. Luiz Fabiano Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dudu Nogueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Kléber de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fabiano Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dudu Nogueira came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aurilandia's Kléber de Almeida. But to his dismay, Kléber de Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Daniel Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Dudu Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kléber de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Itahum's Eugênio Quadros got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Eugênio Quadros off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itahum fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Aurilandia a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmílson Souza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Itahum's Dudu Nogueira. 2-2. Marcinho Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itahum's goalkeeper Dudu Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If David Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
