Davi Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington de Alcântara in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Itapicuru SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibúrcio Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Itapicuru SS got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Soares. In the 12th minute Custódio Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Jaguarari AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Moreira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 15 minutes, Custódio Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapicuru SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Custódio Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Travassos in the 21st minute of play forced Jaguarari AD's goalkeeper Lino Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alan de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Davi Teles was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Washington de Alcântara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Washington de Alcântara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Jaguarari AD's Lino Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Meira in the 35th minute of play. Alan de Queirós who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Davi Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Victor Meira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jaguarari AD's Lino Nunes. Lino Nunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delfim Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Jaguarari AD got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Rezende. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Custódio Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Washington de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alan de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Custódio Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Victor Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Lino Nunes made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Itapicuru SS's goal looked a bit too open when Washington de Alcântara came free, but Davi Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lino Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davi Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davi Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington de Alcântara in the 94th minute of play. The Jaguarari AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itapicuru SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Itapicuru SS.
