Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conrado Fernandes kicked off to start the match. Ricardo Prata hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Cássio Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Paes struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Donatello Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barranceira. Patrício Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrício Mangueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cássio Paulista went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Patrício Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Sydney Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donatello Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barranceira's goalkeeper Patrício Mangueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cristiano Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes, Perivaldo Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darcilandia and the Barranceira players grew even worse after the yellow card. Perivaldo Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Sydney Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello Reis having to interfere. Adhemar Zilles charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adhemar Zilles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Barranceira got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Zilles. Cristiano Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Mangueira having to interfere. Cássio Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute Darcilandia were awarded a corner. Cássio Pinho went to the cornerflag to take it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cássio Paulista made a kick off. If Cristiano Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Donatello Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donatello Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Paes in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Darcilandia got a freekick which was hit by Guga Mesquita. After a defensive mix-up in Darcilandia's zone, Sydney Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donatello Reis came out of the goal and Sydney Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cássio Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cássio Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot.
