After having played for 36 minutes, Arlindo Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tupandi SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlindo Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Eduardo Matorin made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Severino Cunha sent off a good shot on target. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tupandi SC! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 81st minute Arlindo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eduardo Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luiz Eduardo Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Eduardo Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jojoca SC booed when Tupandi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Tupandi SC were the better team. Tupandi SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
