In the 3rd minute, Inácio Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Matos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 11thth minute of the game Inácio Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moema's Bruno Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moema's Bruno Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Mangueira in the 15th minute of play. Betão Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Matos having to interfere. Júlio Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Monteiro having to interfere. Dito Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dito Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Vitório Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapirapoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moema the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Vitório Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Dito Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Tapirapoa's zone, Júlio Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Monteiro came out of the goal and Júlio Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dito Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Júlio Mazza took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Monteiro. Frank Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Paulo José Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Júlio Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moema's Edinho Hames suffered a concussion in the 71st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 71 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapirapoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moema the free kick. A collision led to Tapirapoa getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Guerra hit a great ball. Willian das Neves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frank Monteiro. Tapirapoa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Júlio Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Monteiro having to interfere. Bruno Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Vasconcelos in the 83rd minute of play. Moema's Bruno Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Moema from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Inácio Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dito Trigo's late challenge caught a Tapirapoa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dito Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Moema got a freekick which was hit by Dito Trigo. Tapirapoa were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Moema's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jarbas Catarinense took the corner. Despite being the better team, Moema failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
