Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Inácio Vasconcelos took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Araújo during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Nicolas Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Araújo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Monteiro having to make a save. Tapirapoa's Frank Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Araújo in the 5th minute of play. When Marcelo de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedralva's protests and gave Marcelo de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Pedralva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Vasconcelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Hernani da Silva made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Ulisses Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Tapirapoa's Inácio Vasconcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernani da Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match Vágner Valadares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Monteiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luís Fabiano Guerra hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Nicolas Araújo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Monteiro. Tapirapoa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolas Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nilson Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Monteiro having to interfere. Inácio Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hernani da Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapirapoa. Nicolas Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Araújo struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Frank Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedralva. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolas Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tapirapoa's Betão Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Inácio Vasconcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernani da Silva was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Betão Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani da Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betão Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Betão Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hernani da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernani da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pedralva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapirapoa the free kick. Marquinhos Aguiar hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Tapirapoa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fabiano Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Perivaldo Freitas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Tapirapoa's Betão Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Tapirapoa booed when Pedralva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes in the game, Nicolas Araújo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Frank Monteiro having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Monteiro was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Hernani da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Mangueira in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Luís Fabiano Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Pedralva supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pedralva would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
