In the 12th minute, Diamantino Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Renato Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Fernando Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaraji's Luís Fernando Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Dias in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Luisão Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaraji's Luís Fernando Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Costa in the 27th minute of play. Felippe Borges hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Luís Fernando Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brilhantina. After some careless play in the Brilhantina defense, Gabriel Brodel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Moraes. The Brilhantina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Moraes should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Fiori Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaraji's supporters rose to their feet, but Fiori Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
