Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Júnior Eger started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Pinheiro in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Faustino saved Veado from getting behind. If Júnior Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Cabral's late challenge caught a Timbora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Cabral hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Timbora's Júnior Eger in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Veado's goalie prevented a goal. Fernando Pinheiro scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Faustino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gernando Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Senna in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Veado booed when Timbora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timbora's Fernando Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Veado's Eugênio Senna in the 23rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gernando Guedes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Timbora through an amazing save. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Renan Linhares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Timbora's zone, Eugênio Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gernando Guedes came out of the goal and Eugênio Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Eugênio Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veado's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugênio Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gernando Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timbora's Gernando Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Timbora from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Veado's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Eger came free, but Tomás Faustino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Pinheiro in the 38th minute of play forced Veado's goalkeeper Tomás Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugênio Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Guedes having to interfere. Renan Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Guedes having to interfere. With a little luck, Timbora's Gernando Guedes got control of the ball when Renan Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Timbora were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eugênio Senna made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Timbora defense, Eugênio Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gernando Guedes. The Timbora fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gernando Guedes should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Fernando Pinheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tomás Faustino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Veado's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Eger came free, but Tomás Faustino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Faustino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Timbora's zone, Renan Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gernando Guedes came out of the goal and Renan Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 minutes, Eugênio Senna made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Timbora's Gernando Guedes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Veado's Alfredão da Silveira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Linhares in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gernando Guedes saved Timbora from getting behind. Gernando Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Senna in the 82nd minute of the match. Timbora's Gernando Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Linhares in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Júnior Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veado's Tomás Faustino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Júnior Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renan Linhares took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gernando Guedes. Gernando Guedes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Veado had won after a very even match.
