Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Veado's Cristiano Cabral got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Percy Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Tomás Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veado's Tomás Faustino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Veado from getting a goal against them. Tomás Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Medeiros in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Veado's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Medeiros came free, but Tomás Faustino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Gerber during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibiquara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Veado a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Fernando Romero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ibiquara's Reinaldo de Carvalho. 0-2. A collision led to Ibiquara getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dalmo Queirós hit a great ball. Eugênio Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Reinaldo de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Ibiquara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Romero to maneuver through the defense. If Renan Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Mumbach in the 64th minute of play forced Ibiquara's goalkeeper Reinaldo de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Percy Medeiros notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Veado's Tomás Faustino. Tomás Faustino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, one of Ibiquara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ibiquara. The crowd rose to their feet as Veado's Eugênio Senna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaldo de Carvalho. That made the score 1-6 after 86 minutes of play. Benjamim Mumbach charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamim Mumbach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ibiquara booed when Veado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Mumbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Alberto Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Faustino having to interfere. Veado's Tomás Faustino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Medeiros in the 94th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Faustino having to interfere. 101 minutes into the game, Eugênio Senna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reinaldo de Carvalho. Eugênio Senna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. When the match was over Veado could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ibiquara throughout the match.
