With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrézinho Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Almeida having to interfere. Paulo Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Giovanni Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Andrézinho Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With splendid footwork Giovanni Maciel arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 20th minute. The audience was convinced that Giovanni Maciel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrézinho Almeida was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Rocha to make the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Verdadeira getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Juvenal Rossi hit a great ball. Andrézinho Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Maciel in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Giovanni Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Giovanni Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Rocha in the 91st minute of play forced Guigos AD's goalkeeper Paulo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
