After a rather tough play, Bacaina's Elias Ferraz got a free kick in the 5th minute. Anderson Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Souza in the 7th minute of play. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 19 minutes in the game, Narciso Ribeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Robinho Prestes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Francisco AD's Leonardo das Neves got a free kick in the 20th minute. Anderson Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Souza in the 24th minute of the match. Leonardo das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Gerber in the 31st minute of play forced Bacaina's goalkeeper Anderson Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco AD's Robinho Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Francisco AD from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Cabral got free with Robinho Prestes in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 41 played minutes Bacaina got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Matos. In the 46th match minute, Bacaina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. After having played for 56 minutes, Aílton Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Francisco AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ademar Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademar Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anderson Goiano went to the wrong direction when Kléber Gonçalves was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 66th minute Narciso Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Aílton Gerber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anderson Goiano, 0-2. In the 71st minute, Narciso Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Robinho Prestes. Francisco AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.
