Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sabino de Medeiros made the kick off and thus started the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Cabral in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Aguiar saved Tafona from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Cabral got free with Claudinho Aguiar in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bacaina's Narciso Ribeiro in 9 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Claudinho Aguiar guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 13th match minute, Bacaina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bacaina booed when Tafona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Bacaina got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Rosa. If Sabino de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Rosa's late challenge caught a Tafona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bacaina's Adriano Rosa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes, Tafona's José Maria das Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anderson Goiano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tafona reached it. In the 28th minute, Bacaina's Narciso Ribeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 31st minute, Sabino de Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Anderson Goiano. Bacaina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 39th minute, Sabino de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anderson Goiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubinho Nogueira went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Bacaina's Anderson Goiano got control of the ball when Sílvio Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Tafona's Rubinho Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anderson Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudinho Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Cabral's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Narciso Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tafona's Sabino de Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 73rd minute, Sílvio Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Ribeiro in the 76th minute of the match. Zé Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinho Aguiar having to make a save. Rubinho Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bacaina's Anderson Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino de Medeiros in the 82nd minute of play. Anderson Goiano made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Rubinho Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. Bacaina's Narciso Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tafona getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Edu Carioca hit a great ball. Claudinho Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Ribeiro in the 93rd minute of the match. Rubinho Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tafona eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
