Cacá Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Sabóia in the 9th minute of play forced Petrolandia's goalkeeper Cacá Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emerson Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Torres having to interfere. Cacá Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Váldson Bittencourt notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Afogados FC's Sílvio Luís Duarte. Sílvio Luís Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benjamin Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Luís Duarte didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Cacá Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Diego Tasso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cacá Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Petrolandia's zone, Benjamin Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Torres came out of the goal and Benjamin Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Vítor Lopez in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Cruz during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Petrolandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian de Carvalho in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luís Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Vítor Lopez to strike the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Sabóia in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cacá Torres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 65 played minutes Afogados FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Tasso. Sílvio Luís Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian de Carvalho in the 68th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Afogados FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Neto. In the 74th play minute Emerson Reis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cacá Torres. 3-2. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, José Vítor Lopez took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Cacá Torres to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Benjamin Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afogados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87thth minute of the game José Vítor Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petrolandia's Cacá Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Petrolandia booed when Afogados FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If José Vítor Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afogados FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Petrolandia to leave the ground with a draw.
